Senior Data BA

Excel, VBA, SQL, Power BI, Data Modelling, Forecasting, Retail Insight

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Business Analyst with excellent analytical skills to lead the ongoing development of the commercial insight data products.

This role requires an analytical mind and experience with managing internal and external relationships, providing the opportunity to work directly with the top retailers in the UK.

Responsibilities:

·Ensuring effective ways of working with the Data team in the centre of excellence

·Development planning to keep evolving proprietary analytical software over the coming years

·Working with the Data Team, IT function and 3rd party providers to ensure the smooth implementation of system changes.

·Leading the team’s interaction with customers, data promotion opportunities, website developments to deliver improvements

·Driving the Data Team’s development and delivery of data across the Retail Insight team

·Supporting Senior Analysts to execute reforecasting cycles.

·Deliver content for projects as required, providing data driven insight in a compelling way

·Work cross functionally on large scale projects

·Working with the Solutions and Sales teams to drive increased use of retail data enhancing the commercial value

No direct reports but you will work closely with the Retail Insight – Data team and cross functionally with several other teams to deliver against commitments

Skills and Experience:

• Superb communication skills
• Strong project management & problem solving skills
• Some experience of and interest in the grocery retail sector
• An understanding of global macro-economic trends
• Some understanding of statistical concepts

Technical Skills:

• Some relevant experience in the development of data products / tools as a service
• Advanced Excel skills, ideally with VBA
• Power BI (or similar)
• SQL
• Experience with both forecasting and modelling

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + £5,000 car allowance + Benefits Package

Flexible Working: Remote / W.F.H 3-4 days p/wk. Office 1-2 days p/wk.
