Role:   Senior Digital Advertising Product Manager
Salary:   £70,000 to £80,000
Benefits: £6k car, 15% bonus, 10% pension, healthcare, life assurance and lots more.

One of the challenges for small businesses looking to ‘go digital’ is the complexities of all the platforms associated with paid search, display and paid social.

Add in the complications of knowing how to target, what are the right keywords, how to implement, then optimise a bidding strategy, etc. Then know how to effectively measure its effectiveness so they don’t end up wasting a ton of money. It’s not surprising they find it daunting and end up passing it out to agencies.

What if there was a digital platform which combined this, automated it and took out the complexities?

A ‘one stop' digital advertising solution which helped them create, execute, optimise and report on campaigns in the one place. Supported by proprietary AI technologies which gave intelligent suggestions each step of the journey.

No need to learn the various dashboards and interfaces for Facebook, Google, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and others. It’s all built into an ‘on rails’ experience. Taking you through each step of the process in a simple to understand journey which removes the jargon and complexities. Making it accessible for all, without the need to undertake a digital marketing course. Allowing even the smallest of businesses with dreams of selling online not only possible, but simple too.

The platform includes keyword suggestions and targeting strategies, including geo-location. Copy suggestions and calls to action. It even has a creative toolkit which plugs into a variety of stock image platforms. Able to pull down a shortlist of suggested creative, based on each campaigns unique elements which are most likely to connect with the target audience.

It will help you create and integrate campaign landing pages, and feed them into the ecommerce website. All without needing any technical knowledge at all from the person creating it.

Powering all this is a back end AI solution baked into the platform. That AI is also a powerful reporting tool, which gives transparency and clarity to businesses on exactly where their media spend is going and the ROI derived from it – by campaign and by channel. Giving complete understanding of what’s working and what’s not.

The platform you’ll be responsible for removes the complexities of digital advertising and ecommerce for small businesses, essentially giving you a tool which could replace the need for companies to spend a fortune on agencies or need to hire dedicated specialists to manage their digital marketing needs.

About the role

Your remit will be leading the product vision and product roadmap for this incredibly powerful, innovative and complete digital advertising solution.

This will include managing 3rd party partnerships and integrations with all major digital media and social platforms – so engaging with Google, Meta, ByteDance, etc. on changes to their digital advertising eco-systems. Ensuring the platform is adapting as necessary to accommodate new features and functionality which will enrich the customer experience and value of the platform too.

Responsible for the business cases and investment planning. Looking at how changes in the paid search, PPC, display, programmatic and other digital advertising landscape will impact on the platform, and how it needs to continually evolve to remain innovative and leading edge.

The ambition for this product and platform are big, backed by sizable investment in both resource, infrastructure and technology capabilities.

The richness of data and AI solutions which underpin this platform are incredible. The company you’ll be joining happen to have one of the largest data sets of any UK company, and happen to have a sizable data science resource too.

You’ll be joining this function just as the business has launched the product’s Beta phase. There’s a sizable roadmap ahead, but it’s already been received well by customers and is growing its roster rapidly.

KEY EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Deep knowledge of digital advertising solutions
  • Have worked for a digital media firm or digital business where advertising is a core revenue stream
  • Have been responsible for the product roadmap including feature backlogs and priority roadmap. Including creation and proving of significant business cases
  • Have experience of identifying and integrating 3rd party platforms and features into a product platform
  • Good knowledge of Agile working
