The leading Pet food brand is looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to take on a leadership role within its marketing team. The role will take full responsibility for performance marketing campaigns for the UK, EU and US Markets. The UK is an established market for them so you will need to create competitive digital marketing campaigns across PPC, Paid Social and other channels. The EU and US are emerging markets so you will need to take lead on creating a range of strategies to break into two incredibly competitive markets.

They have embraced digital with this role being newly created to highlight the importance of Digital across the business. They are constantly focusing on keeping the customer at the heart of their business decisions.

Their culture is centered around empowerment & passion for their products with the appointment of their new CMO there is a new drive within the team to grow and expand. The CMO is a real leader within marketing, they focus on empowering the team to succeed and grow within their roles.

As Senior Digital Marketing Manager you will join their global marketing team based in their Hitchin and be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the Direct to consumer acquisition strategy across UK, EU & US, creating and executing a strategy and building a strategic plan to deliver results (Paid social, PPC, SEO, Affiliates)
  • Lead and manage all Paid for and Non- Paid for acquisition marketing to optimize short- and long-term impacts in the UK and US markets
  • Driving growth constantly through a test and learn to improve performance of campaigns
  • Have a data driven mindset, tracking performance versus spend across all digital and offline marketing activities  
  • Bring continuous improvement to the organization and team, leveraging best practice and pioneering new methods and approaches
  • Identify opportunities to develop new affiliate and partner tools/tactics and/or expand existing platforms for customer acquisition  
  • Constantly optimising various programs, testing new ways of executing and new traffic programs and making decisions based on objective data to keep refining programmes and investments.  
  • Drive analysis and optimization across programs to enhance ROI and areas for new investments
  • Lead reporting and metrics to identify real-time insights to drive spend, channel and mix optimization. Including attribution analysis  
  • Strong campaign management orientation, identify new themes/topics, offers, platforms to reach target market with those messages and offers.  
  • Coordinate with marketing for support on creative messaging, campaigns, social media, and public relations
  • Supervise, mentor, and participate in career development of the acquisition team (2 team members- CRO & Affiliate Manager & SEO & Content Manager)

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to Digital Marketing, have lead and managed a multi-disciplined digital team and help a wide remit with a focus to the UK, EU & US. You can have experience from either an agency or client-side background as long as you the above experience.

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Pet Food

The role requires the following experience: 

  • Several years of client-side experience in acquisition marketing to consumers ideally in FMCG or Retail, with proven success at profitable scale.  
  • Ability to convey a clear course and sense of direction and prioritize amongst many competing demands to ensure that short-term goals supporting long-term initiatives are achieved with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Can operate both strategically and operationally when it comes to Digital market
  • Data-obsessed and analytical but must be able to identify broader insights and opportunities
  • Ability to motivate, lead and utilize effective management techniques to influence and motivate staff to perform at the highest level of excellence
  • Experience with a US acquisition marketing is a plus
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment

Title: Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Pet Food
Location: Hitchin – The office is only commutable by car
Salary: £50k – £65k
