Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 (based on experience) plus benefits

New Job Checklist

A remit which is more than just owning digital performance and paid social
Where investment and media spend is growing
Without red tape and politics slowing me down
To have my voice heard where it matters, so I can affect decision making and strategy
Somewhere it’s not already all done and I’ll just cranking a handle. So I can make my own mark on things and build things my way
A business that’s going places and scaling because they’re really successful
Where I can build and lead my own team
I’d also like a really great line manager. Someone who will both inspire, support and champion me when necessary, and is just a really nice person.

This ones got them all ticked.

THE ROLE

Whilst digital performance plays its part, your role won’t ‘just’ be about that. As you’ll be taking ownership of everything digital to do with the customer – so will own traffic generation, lead nurturing, conversion optimisation and all digital customer journeys.

So will include PPC, SEO and paid social via Facebook. But there’s also the ramping up other channels like native, programmatic display and YouTube. Most of which haven’t been touched upon much yet.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for looking at how content in customer journey’s drive engagement and conversion metrics. Looking at all aspects of the funnel, and ensuring an optimal customer experience.

There’s a couple of agencies already who support with SEO and content across own site and social channels. But there’s a lot of scope for scaling capabilities and delivering improvements on what’s currently there.

You’ll also begin your journey with one direct report. But this business is in a growth phase and just like how this role is a new hire to the business, there’s likely to be many more on the horizon as things continue to scale.

There’s a healthy budget in the millions to handle. Plus the latitude to look at new channel opportunities as they emerge, or you feel there’s opportunity there, which will notably come as they diversify their proposition offering to target new customer segments.

About the business

In just 6 years this company’s gone from start-up to market lead within its particular niche. Their business is continuing to scale at pace, which is why they’re scaling their marketing investment so much looking ahead to 2022.

It’s this scaling in spend which is driving their continued hiring. To scale out and mature their digital and marketing channels with more heavy-weight support.

It’s still a family owned and run business, so don’t expect anything corporate. But you will find you have a really supportive and inspirational manager in the Head of Marketing. Someone who really understands the mechanics of direct response marketing and will be a great champion for your work.

So if you’re interested in joining a place where you’d be more than just a cog within a production line, why not give this a try?

  • Good knowledge of social channels
  • Able to devise strategy and leading operational delivery
