Senior Digital Media Buyer – Children & Family Entertainment - London

Location: Hybrid – 3 days from Marylebone office - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Reports to: Account Director – Media Activation

Salary: up to 45k + bonus + great benefits

 

Industry: Childrens & Family Entertainment & Gaming

Objective: Managing a Media buying team of 5, managing the strategic aspects of media buying and preparing for the busy Q4 period.

Target Audience: 4-15-year-olds and some that love a bit of nostalgia. People that love gaming and the product already and also to reach new audiences with children whose interests are evolving and gaming is becoming more interesting to them.

Schedule and budget: This will vary from brief to brief.

Media channels: All Digital channels.

This full service, independent Media agency specialises in communications for young people and families (think all of the high-profile childrens brands from Pokemon to Matel) globally. They are masters of navigating the media landscape on and offline while taking into account the different market nuances.

They specialise in media planning and buying in order to reach and excite the client’s target audience. They have an extremely strong track record of delivering effective and engaging campaigns across a range of media channels, each depending on the client's needs and the campaign objectives.

The Role:

  • Lead the digital specialist team in the negotiation of, and management the delivery of, media owner deals/campaign deliveries across Digital online platforms.
  • Establish strong working relationships with media owners to ensure best deals for client portfolio.
  • Support account team in digital ad hoc requests and calls.
  • Manage digital dashboard reports and market competitive reporting.
  • Have a desire to be involved in managing extracurricular activations such as Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing Committees etc.
  • Work directly into and assist the Business Director/Directors in the day-to-day running of the account teams client portfolio, working directly with the account team and advising them on digital media planning and buying strategy.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of material required for client and internal meetings
  • Assist with the preparation of pitch material for Business Development, as well as have the opportunity to be involved in international briefs and planning.

 

Essential Behaviours/Skills:

  • A few years’ UK media agency experience
  • Strong background in use of Digital platforms specifically with a buying/optimisation background
  • Proficient in standard media insight and reporting tools including Ad Intel, TGI, Tech Edge, Digital Reporting dashboards, AdDynamix, and Data Studios (or similar visualisation dashboard).

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous media agency experience.
  • Experience in entertainment and children’s media
  • Other languages/experience across international territories
  • Numerical and technical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a team.
  • Confidence, positivity, and an ability to present yourself amongst internal/external colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability and confidence to learn and apply new skills.
  • Experience in working across international territories.
