Bar raiser needed for a luxury brands etailer with a history of success and real ambition.

This firm represents a digital success story. One who successfully make the transition from physical retail to ecommerce years ago, and in doing so extended their reach internationally to become a leader in their retail niche.

They specialise in fashion. Namely high end clothing from designer brands. This is a firm with heritage and a good employer reputation. It’s somewhere you’d be proud to say to friends and family you’re a part of.

But, they recognise their eCRM programme could do with a fresh set of eyes, and someone who knows how to drive data centric thinking and eCRM strategy.

So you’ll be the kind of person who’s already got a good grounding in promotional CRM. But this isn’t a ‘select all and send’ type of place, so they’re looking for you to be able to demonstrate thinking well beyond that.

You’ll understand how to use customer data to help build and oversee a more considered, meaningful eCRM interaction across lifecycle and trigger based communications.

Pushing into things like retargeting, looking at basket abandon. Segmentation and personalisation of communications based on past interactions and transactions to deliver communications which have better resonance, engagement and deliver results.

THE ROLE

You’ll be joining their digital marketing function, overseeing the end-to-end email marketing programme which covers lifecycle, trigger and promotional CRM, as well as supporting the loyalty programme. It’s a team of 4 people, with this being a new hire, acting as No2 to the eCRM Manager.

In addition to the day-to-day campaign piece, you will be looking at how to improve performance. Digging into customer behavioural and performance data to find opportunities to improve the effectiveness of each campaign.

Identifying new or fixing existing journeys, as well as inputting the right test and learn approach in order to continuously optimise each element of the programme.

Your remit will be international, as the business operates in more than a hundred countries. Working on projects end-to-end with in-house design, content, customer experience and retention marketing functions to achieve a high quality, joined up email programme.

If you’re looking to hone your career in direct marketing, you will get real benefit becoming a part of their family. The scale and sophistication of their programme will give you what you expect of any big brand employer, but with the added benefit of being locally based.

In addition is the opportunity for future learning. The business will be switching platforms soon, and training will be provided on the new one.

It will also give opportunity to re-think the strategy, customer journeys and automation. So will afford the opportunity to gain some really valuable strategic experience helping to elevate the art of what’s possible given the new platform’s features and functionality.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • You’ve a decent grounding in e-commerce and email marketing
  • Have knowledge of an ESP platform and open minded to learning a new one
  • Evidence of how you’ve leveraged data to inform marketing decisions – namely on targeting decisions, segmentations, test and learn strategies
  • You’ve worked in high-pace, consumer centric CRM environments before
  • Competent project management skills with a marketers mind.
