Job Title:             Senior Email Developer
Location:
             Central London
Salary:                  £40,000 to £50,000 (based on experience)
Benefits:             23 days leave, pension, life assurance, healthcare and cashback plan, tastecard, socials, gym subsidy and lots, lots more.

Since you’re in email marketing, you’ll recognise digital bring the primary channel of interaction for most firms these days. So you’ve clearly made the right career choice to be someone in demand. In fact, you’re likely a bit bored with all the LinkedIn messages from recruiters trying to headhunt you.

But you’re not into spam. No, you likely think of yourself as something of an ‘email artist’.

Creating HTML coded, innovative email templates which reflect the latest trends and puts to good use advancements in technologies, such as fully responsive design and marketing automation.

You know what works with consumers, captures their eye and delivers results. Not ‘right-click, spammed’ off or ‘unsubscribed’ because it was badly made.

If you’re looking for career prospects, there’s scope for you to move into management once settled in. Potentially bringing in an executive to help you with some of the day-to-day tasks, freeing up your time to get on with the important stuff, like:

  • Providing subject matter expertise in email build best practice to clients. Supporting the team with business development efforts. Getting across just how excellent your skills are, and how you will be able to help their businesses with the amazing email templates you can build and implement for them
  • Creative idea generation. Considering how the email marketing landscape might be moving. What trends and technologies are emerging, and how bringing these into the agency might enhance the overall offering

You’ll be working across a broad range of clients from telecoms, automotive, retail and travel sectors. Each with a unique set of needs, using email as a relational tool to educate, engage and influence. Others as promotional channel to drive tactical sales activity.

The team you will join are a fairly typical agency bunch. Relaxed vibe, creative atmosphere. Busy and lots going on all the time. Very open to new ideas which help the agency excel and advance it’s offering.

You will have a peer also doing the template builds, and a pretty big email production team alongside you who will be using them. Pulling from the templating system, Taxi for Emails.

Of course, the agency’s won a series of awards for what they do too. But show me an agency which hasn’t…

Experience Necessary:

Confident hand-coding HTML email templates and fully responsive designs

  • You’ve used templating systems like Taxi for email, Bee or Stripo
  • You’ve got some creative skills and can use Photoshop and Illustrator to do a bit of design work
  • A pretty decent knowledge of ESP’s and Marketing Automation platforms too
