Network integrator based 10 minutes South of Alkmaar are looking for a Senior Network engineer to further strengthen their team.

The successful engineer will be spending their time working on High level designs for customers, projects, last line of escalations and acting as a sparring partner for the current Architect.

They’ll be joining a great team of Dutch Network engineers, all with a very broad knowledge of IT infrastructures and Networks.

Working with a number of different vendors but unlike most, Cisco will not be the primary focus. Keeping up with the times and due to customer demand more and more of the work is becoming SDN/SD-WAN focused. You’ll develop skills in scripting and automation using tools like Python, Bash, Ansible and Puppet but, prior experience in that is not required!

The company are offering good salaries, and everything is negotiable depending on experience and skill level. Usually ranging between €4,000- €6,000 bruto per month.

The business understands very well that their location near to Alkmaar is far from ideal when it comes to any engineer living south or east of Amsterdam. With this in mind, they really show a lot of flexibility and are happy for their engineers to split their time between remote working and onsite. As well as this there is no strict 9-5 hours so if coming in a little earlier and leaving a little earlier reducing time spent in traffic then they’re happy to have a conversation about that.

Requirements:

• CCNP/JNCIP working level- Certificate Preferable
• Great experience with Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP…)
• Knowledge of Network Security and Firewalls
• Preferably experienced working with a range of Juniper Products (MX, SRX….)
• Previous experience working on customer projects would be a bonus
• Team player and excellent communicator in both Dutch and English
