Senior Network Engineer

Location: Central Amsterdam

Salary: €4500-€5000 basic per month. Financial benefits including holiday pay and on call allowance are additional to this.

Opportunity for an experienced Senior Network engineer to join a well-known multinational Internet focused organisation. The company are “not for profit” so this provides a unique environment within the Networking and ISP world. This will be a very exciting but challenging and fast paced role.

The company are well known and have offices across 6 worldwide locations. They are growing both their user base and in terms of employees.

This successful applicant will be joining a small multinational team of Network engineers based in Central Amsterdam. This position will take one of the lead engineering positions within the team and act as somewhat of an SME. A small part of the role will be operational, but you will also be using Python, Bash, Ansible and Salt to automate as much as possible. You will be ensuring their global platform is constantly running efficiently but also involved in high level projects and Network designs. It’s an interesting and unique position for a very knowledgeable and experienced engineer.

Lots of room for growth, development and progression either with a further dive into the technology an architecture or into a managerial or hands-off position.

Requirements:

• HBO/Bachelor level of working
• Preferably CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP certified
• Strong scripting and Automation skills. (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, Salt)
• Experience with MPLS, VPLS, Ethernet and IP networks.
• Very strong knowledge of the routing protocols. BGP, OSPF ….
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Knowledge of eVPN and VxLAN  
• Good communication in English, Dutch is a nice-to-have
