Role: Senior Paid Search Marketer
Location:
London or Amsterdam
Salary:    London - £40,000 to £45,000 plus bonus and benefits.
               Amsterdam - €40,000 to €45,000 plus bonus and benefits.

As you’ve definitely landed on the jackpot of jobs to be in this past year.

With the world being fully digital, and traditional advertising being rather quiet, those big budgets are being funnelled into digital, so firms who wants our attention can get still.

Which is making your job search laborious… and you’ve probably had enough of recruiters reaching out to you on Linkedin…

As every paid media, programmatic, paid search or digital performance role reads the same. Right?

It’s just the brand name on the salary slip which gives you any sense of difference.

So what makes this different?

When you kicked off your job search, you’ve probably been faced with a lot of employer brands vying for your attention. Most of them you could label under ‘meh’ or ‘alright, but not wowed’.

In fact, you’ve probably got a sort of league table going on in your mind. Based on their brand reputation and just how high in the public eye they are, right?

So for example – Google, Facebook, Apple are Tier 1…. As are Amazon, Deliveroo and Uber…

They’re the brands people tend to put ‘Ex-…..’ as their headline on LinkedIn when they leave them. As they know the brand name catches people’s attention, and likely at least in part, because they wish they were still there…

Why do I mention this? As what you’re reading right now is for one of those ‘Tier 1’ brands…?

The Role:

You’ll be joining a team which is really a part of the bar setters for excellence in paid search marketing. Working in an industry which is fiercely contested by a small number of hard-hitting, high profile digital unicorns, of which this is one of.

The first thing to highlight about the role itself is you’re going to need to have experience of SA360 to do it.

The second is language skills. English is the first priority, and fluency in another EU language would be beneficial (namely French, Italian or Spanish).

This is an international team who look after paid search for this digital firm across the UK and Europe.

They’ve also got multiple vacancies they’re looking to appoint to support their growth, hence multiple languages too.

You’ll have a bit of breadth to your remit, supporting on bid strategies and optimisation for both Paid Search and Paid Social. Ensure you’re getting maximum return on investment from media spend.

You’ll also be owning internal relationships with senior digital and marketing stakeholders from across the business. Staying on top of trends, products and pricing strategies to adapt in appropriately to your campaigns.

There’s scope for you to get involved in the testing and trailing of new performance media features too. Looking at what works and what doesn’t by delving into the data behind tests.

Finally, there’s mentoring too – as this is a decent sized team, and there’s scope for you to take on the mentoring of juniors within the team to support their growth and development too.

EXPEREINCE NEEDED

  • We’ve mentioned a couple of key points in the spec above – being SA360, as well as both English and another EU language
  • Got to have a really credible track record of performance behind you. If you’re looking to join somewhere within the top-tier, you’ve got to expect they will test you to know you really understand and can demonstrate what good looks like in paid search
  • Good knowledge of Google Ads and Google Analytics
  • You’ve got a good depth of experience across both PPC and paid social campaigns
