Currently I am seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our fantastic client within the Microsoft space to work within the public sector on large scale programmes. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery Leadership: Take accountability for the successful delivery of government projects up to £15m, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and maintaining high-quality standards. Collaborate with the regional project assurance team, as well as the relevant Programme Manager or Project Director, to obtain necessary support and guidance. Project Scope Management: Assume responsibility for project scope management, ensuring strict adherence to the published methodology and project controls as per GDS service standards. Oversee the overall performance of project delivery work, ensuring the quality of all deliverables and compliance with internal controls and processes, while aligning with GDS best practice and service standards. Financial Management: Accountable for effective time and expenses management in accordance with relevant policies and contractual obligations. Ensure accurate creation of revenue recognition estimates or Time and Materials invoices, aligned with the project schedule. Documentation and Communication: Lead the documentation of meeting minutes for all formal meetings, capturing actions and decisions promptly. Facilitate clear and effective communication channels between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Quality Assurance: Promptly address any concerns regarding quality with the Regional Project Director and take necessary corrective actions. Integration with DDaT Capability Framework: Apply knowledge of the DDaT Capability Framework to ensure alignment with project objectives and team capabilities. Utilize DDaT principles to enhance project efficiency, effectiveness, and overall delivery success. D365 Implementations: Leverage experience in D365 implementations to drive successful project outcomes. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of D365 solutions. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful central government implementations. Familiarity with the DDaT Capability Framework and its application within government projects. Experience in D365 implementations is essential. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred. Familiarity with GDS service standards and best practices is highly advantageous.
