Role:                     Senior Retail Marketing Executive
Location:             Maidstone based offices, likely 3 days a week – will involve some UK travel
Salary:                  Up to £35,000
Benefits:             Good performance based bonus, pension, 25 days leave plus lots more.

What makes this opportunity unique are the people you’ll be working with. It’s one of those rare environments where the cliché of ‘family’ actually translates to behaviours the business can truly demonstrate in how they look after the people who work there. Including large-scale events for the whole family to partake in.

It stems from their heritage of being a Danish family owned and run organisation. Despite actually being a multi-billion pound international operation.

You’ll be handling their retail marketing. This is a national role, responsible for all in-store brand, collateral and point of sales materials.

You’ll also be supporting events at store level. Pulling together the marketing materials to support these, ensuring everything is organised and the stores are aware of what they need to do to ensure things are executed correctly.

There’s also some bigger national level campaign events and roadshows you’ll be in charge of organising. Including budget management and deciding how to deploy this across various marketing and media channels to achieve the desired lead generation results.

To support you in the day-to-day, you will have a marketing assistant reporting into you. Helping you to get things organised and pulled together. Taking care of some of the administrative side of things too.

Finally, there’s some travel involved. This is principally to retail stores to check out new fits, changes to store formats and ensuring point of sale material and collateral is being correctly displayed to conform with brand guidelines and expectations.

The 3 days in office will be typical if you’re not needing to visit any retail sites. Otherwise you’ll find your week will be more fluid based on where you’re planning on visiting. Of course, travel will be expensed.

Your report line will be to a very capable and experienced Marketing Manager. Someone who’s been with the business for a while and in turn reports to the Marketing Director.

If there’s one thing this business isn’t light on, that’s inspirational leadership. With marketing leadership each having prestigious careers formed within big businesses, and they know what good looks like. They’re great at imparting that knowledge in a supportive way which will help you become a really good marketer in your own right.
