Job Title: Senior Service Desk Leader

Location: Humber (Fully on site) 

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Desk Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview: Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Service Desk Leader with a strong background in IT support and a proven track record of leveraging PowerShell automation to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-tier support to clients while also leading initiatives to implement automation solutions that optimize service desk operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:

    • Provide expert-level technical support to end-users, addressing complex issues and ensuring timely resolution.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical problems.
  2. PowerShell Automation:

    • Design, develop, and implement PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Create and maintain automation workflows to improve incident response and resolution times.
  3. Service Desk Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor junior service desk engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service desk processes and procedures.
    • Be the goto person for any difficult queries from other member's of staff 
  4. Documentation:

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for PowerShell scripts, automation processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Ensure that knowledge transfer occurs effectively within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience for a number of years in a senior service desk or IT support role.
  • experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and service desk best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with other scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
