Senior Software Developer (Ruby & Ruby on Rails)

I’m working with a Key Player in the Internet sector who have offices all over the world and I’m helping them to find their next Developer.

For their Central Amsterdam office they are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Developer with expertise in both Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Joining a very talented scrum team made of top developers from all over the world.

Some of the responsibilities include improving the current products and services of the company by refactoring the existing software as well as designing and implementing brand new solutions.  Working alongside the Networking team you will be creating robust solutions to get to the bottom of issues reported by the users. Alongside the development you will also be involved in the testing phase and ensuring documentation around features and config’s is always maintained.

Salary: up to €6,000 per month

Requirements:

• Fluent English Speaker.
• 5+ years’ experience as a professional software developer.
• Strong development skills in both Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience preferably using two or more different programming languages.
• CI/CD Pipelines and Version Control systems.
• PostrgreSQL or similar storages.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking.
• A bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field.
• Not afraid to ask Challenging questions and provide input on projects
• Experience with Perl and Python
