Role: SEO Marketing Assistant
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent – with remote working
Salary: £20,000 to £23,000 plus benefits

First thing to clarify before going into the details of what’s on offer here is the working arrangements.

Currently the business, like most, is fully remote. But when they do return to offices, they’ve said it’s likely only going to need a couple of days a week for meetings and such. Otherwise, they’ve embraced the home working revolution.

But it’s important to also recognise, this is very much a role with a lot of training and development opportunities ahead of it, so it’s likely for a period you will be required to attend the office to get training up to a level where you’re confident of being able to tackle tasks at home.

So what about the role?

It’s a place where you’ll be able to learn a lot, and from a business who are number one in this sector.

We’re talking about a full-blooded, digital first, ecommerce organisation within the retail sector. With an international presence across the EMEA region.

You’ll be joining their digital marketing function, it’s a team of around 60 people. The SEO team itself is currently 3, growing to 4 with this appointment.

They cover both technical and non-technical SEO as a function. So you’re going to be given the opportunity to cover both too.

This will include, day to day optimisation, including keyword tracking, metadata tweaks and updates, blog and content optimisation. Digging into data to understand performance, and learning your way round the Google Search Console.

Looking at competitor sites to understand elements of their SEO performance, as well as working with the PR team and social to look at backlinks.

Plus learning how to horizon scan to keep on top of changes to the search industry, and how Google updates challenge you to keep up to speed on all things ‘search’ related.

If you’ve got aspirations to grow a career in digital marketing, this is a really great opportunity to gain a ton of experience.

The Company

It’s very much a family environment with a very diverse team. They’ve been around a long time too, originating from a high-street operation who made the move to digital pure play quite some time ago.

So you’re going to be joining a very inclusive and progressive firm. One who’s also done really well over the last year commercially. Who happen to also take professional growth very seriously and invest well into their people to support progression.

So if all this ticks boxes for you and you’d be interested in knowing more, why not apply today?
