Backend Developer - London 

Scala or Java / AWS / Backend / Server / Backend Developer 

We're looking for a highly experienced Backend / Server Developer to join a well-known mobile gaming company. 

It truly is a great opportunity to develop games with incredibly passionate and creative people so you'll need a passion for developing technology and games. This will suit someone with a minimum of 5 years+ experience as a backend / server developer... Someone who has gained experience of scaling large systems with many users.  

Essential Technical skills required:

• Strong Java or Scala programming
• Functional programming experience
• Strong server engineering skills - You must have experience scaling large systems with many users
• SOA
• Experience working in a client server environment 
• AWS Lambda, AWS ElasticSearch, AWS ElasticCache, AWS DynamoDB, AWS S3
• Experience with NoSQL systems / databases

Having worked on a successful free to play game, ideally a mobile game on iOS or Android

Having designed and developed AWS architecture with over 100 servers

Having experience with React and Unity3D

You'll need to be naturally highly driven, enthusiastic and a productive team player relentless in your pursuit of delivering to the teams mission. You must have at least 5 years or more experience as a server / backend developer who has experience scaling large systems with many of users.
