Can your PR and social media skills help Greta save the planet?

Okay, so maybe that’s an over-dramatic opener to a job ad. But you never know, as what you’ll be working on will be aligned to promoting a principally plant based diet. Helping to drive interest and engagement across a number of high-profile and well-recognised branded fresh produce lines.

So if what you do helps convert more people to embrace to this lifestyle, you could argue you’ve helped do your bit.

Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will be your primary weapons of choice; building, delivering and measuring the effectiveness of social and PR campaigns, promoting healthy eating and celebrating a sustainable lifestyle.

You will already be experienced and confident within devising PR campaigns, executing them across social media channels. Likely seeking your next challenge which offers ample opportunity for career progression and growth.

The company you’ll become part of is already well established and this is a growth role to the firm. They produce marketing campaigns on behalf some of the top fresh produce brands in the UK. There’s no doubt you will recognise these, as they’re probably staples of your shopping basket already.

You will handle the planning, creation and execution of the company’s social media communications, so proven knowledge and experience of running and analysing efficiency of campaigns through Google Ads and social media channels including Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube is a must.

You will work within a small yet supportive team who are on hand to offer support when needed. Bringing with you the motivation, drive, and experience to work autonomously and independently to grow reach and audience engagement.

Strong written and communication skills are imperative as you will be required to develop and maintain relationships across an array of contacts including consumers, press, influencers, agencies and stakeholders through content creation, face to face interactions and event attendance.

You will be working with partners and clients local and internationally. Certainly when working with international clients, being able to converse in another European language would be advantageous.

About the company

This is a boutique communications consultancy who specialise in PR, Comms and Social Media promotion for fresh produce. They work in partnership with the end brand owners as an insourced marketing function. So the relationships are closer than you’d find with typical agency environments.

This isn’t a big company. So you will have the ability to gain exposure to big projects and have an input to decisions you wouldn’t get if part of a bigger firm.

They offer parking onsite, and there is a train station within a 10 minute walk too.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • To plan and execute monthly social media campaigns for multiple brands, working in partnership with a PR Manager
  • To implement, monitor, analyse, measure and report on executed social media campaigns
  • To establish and build positive and successful relationships with clients, partners, influencers and consumers both domestically and internationally through digital, print and face-to-face PR activity
  • To assist with event management
  • To liaise with partners and agencies internationally
  • To manage all content for multiple brands
  • To respond to queries, calls and undertake general office duties as appropriate
  • To manage print production of materials
  • To assist with preparing and delivering presentations

Skills and Experience:

  • Able to evidence where you have created and run social media campaigns through the channels stated, providing analytical information regarding results gained
  • Proven history within the PR sector, particularly in the handling of multiple clients/brands
  • Experience of using CMS and email marketing platforms
  • Adobe suite experience
  • The ability to think creatively and share original, imaginative ideas

Please note, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
