Role:                     Social Media Manager – Retail Fashion
Location:             Tunbridge Wells, with home working mix
Salary:                  Up to circa £40,000 plus benefits

How will you excite a community of brand loving fashion junkies with tantalising content which helps promote, whilst also being engaging and exciting social content people want to follow?

What you’re looking at is an opportunity to join a very well established, global fashion retailer with a presence in around 100 countries.

They’re principally an ecommerce business, specialising within a segment of the higher-end fashion space.

You will be responsible for their presence across all notable social channels across all international territories. Creating engaging content and campaigns which feel authentic, on brand and most of all, are relatable and engaging to the customer base.

This is all organic social, content led campaigns. Looking for creative ways to drive a narrative with the audience. One which leads them to want to like, subscribe and engage. So you’ll also need to be able to tailor the approach for each audience and channel. Whether it’s Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, TikTok. As well as horizon scan for any other emerging ones where a relevant audience might be, and reflects a platform the brand is able to establish a suitable social presence within.

You’ll have a big voice in the business. Working closely with marketing, PR and creative teams in order to coordinate campaigns and ensure consistency of quality, production and brand standards for anything going into the public domain.

There’s also a team supporting you with all this in the form of of social execs and assistants. Helping you with the execution parts, helping to free you up to handle bigger picture strategic projects and looking at the longer-term content strategy for the social programme. Such as planning ahead for new season launch campaigns or big seasonal pushes.

In addition, you’ll be horizon scanning for community trends and industry changes. Looking to ensure the strategy behind the social media programme adapts to incorporate these. Modifying content strategies, creative ideas, tone of voice, etc. to keep the brand fresh and engaging for its communities.

Role Requirements

  • You’ve managed a social media programme on behalf of a consumer facing brand before
  • Good knowledge of all major social channels and platforms
  • Evidence of experience with community management and social community building
  • Real interest in fashion industry a plus
  • Good understanding of how to dovetail social media with wider marketing channels and campaigns
  • Creative eye, good copywriting skills and able to create a content strategy for social
  • Comfortable leading and developing a team of your own
