Role:  Social Media Manager
Location: Remote with weekly London meet ups
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits

Tell me you know social media without telling me you know social media!

If your product is centred around celebrity, how easy must it be to build and grow engagement of an online community through social media?

What if you were starting it from scratch? Could you do it?

We’re talking definition of the social strategy and content calendar. Tying in with PR activity to drive maximum exposure which builds the community following across the various platforms, and where content helps drive engagement which leads to purchases.

What you’re promoting is a digital subscriptions platform. One which at its core has a wealth of world famous celebrities providing inside information about their industries, creative processes and education which will inspire people to either start their own journey, or attain the next level within that particular field.

The platform itself has global potential, as will the social programme and communities you’ll be building.

You’ll be responsible for coming up with and executing a content led strategy, native for each platform. Deciding on best strategies to employ across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. based on each target audience and demographics.

You’ll have an in-house creative team supporting, working closely with them to oversee the full content creation process.

In addition will be the influencer and partnerships piece. Looking at collaboration opportunities and coming up with campaign ideas to drive awareness which leads to sales.

Across the year there will also be cultural moments arising which connect with the product and gives a meaningful opportunity for the brand to participate. You will be looking out for these, and translating them into really meaningful content which adds to the conversation and resonates positively on the brand too.

Experience Necessary

  • Direct to Consumer social media experience. Could be from either agency or brand side. If you’ve had experience within media and entertainment sectors, this will be a real feather in the cap
  • Ability to create your own ideas and run with them for campaigns, as well as recognise how social media is effectively used to dovetail in and amplify with multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Got a blended background covering organic and paid social – although worth noting, they have an agency who handle their paid social work. You need to know enough to be able to steer and oversee them.
  • Good broad coverage of social channels – FB, Insta, YouTube, TikTok, SnapChat, etc.
  • A commercial eye – you can bridge both content/brand and commercial goals through social campaigns
  • Experience with Google Analytics
