Solutions Manager

 Retail/FMCG Shopper Insight

Do you have experience unlocking growth for retailers and suppliers in the consumer goods industry? We are searching for an experienced individual to help develop and deliver the service. Your main task is to help their customers make more informed business decisions, delivering growth for the future. You'll do this by designing, developing and delivering high quality ad-hoc shopper research projects for consumer goods companies. You'll need qualitative and quantitative research experience and be enthusiastic in all that you do. 

Role Purpose:

To provide high-quality, customer-focused commercial shopper expertise, helping customers make more informed business decisions, delivering growth for the future.

Responsibilities:

·Creation and delivery of projects to satisfy customer problems through shopper insights.

·Work alongside internal teams to identify opportunities aligned to shopper capabilities, and create Solution propositions.

·Design and execute profitable solutions.

Delivery of Solutions projects

  • Project and programme management, stakeholder management and facilitation that utilises technical skills, knowledge & experience in shopper research and insight.
  • Ensure project teams have the capability and capacity to deliver excellent projects
  • Ensure high quality delivery, establishing appropriate KPI’s and feedback mechanisms and capture learnings, case studies and testimonials.
  • Support ongoing product innovation
  • Work with research agency partners, ensuring methodologies applied reflect industry best practice

Knowledge, skills and behaviours

  • Extensive experience of, and passion for, the consumer goods industry
  • Industry experience gained in previous shopper research & insight roles
  • Understanding of shopper insight methodologies and application.
  • Quantitative & Qualitative research experience
  • Understanding of the commercial interface between retailers & manufacturers
  • Able to create profitable shopper insight products and solutions
  • Ability to manage external agency partners
  • Credible at senior management level with influencing capability and good presentation skills

This is an urgent 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.

Flexible working: Mixture of Remote W.F.H 3-4 days p/wk + 1-2 days p/wk in the office
