Job Title:             Technical SEO Manager
Location:             Home based for now - Post Covid restrictions, it will likely be part home, part office and their site is Central London
Salary:                 £38k - £45k plus benefits

Is your working routine looking a bit ‘Groundhog Day?’

The same clients and stakeholders, dealing with the same challenges, day-in, day-out.

Wishing you had a bit more variety to deal with? Maybe even the chance to work across different sectors too?

With this opportunity, you’ll be joining an international digital agency and a team of 20+ SEO account managers.

Where they’re a little more unique is in how that team engages with clients. As the work is traffic managed by the divisional head and projects pooled amongst the team for delivery.

It’s been really successfully, and the firm has gained 20% more clients now vs a year ago.

They’re actively looking to increase headcount to this team by 2-3 new SEO Account Managers, and have a pipeline of additional growth opportunities ahead of them from clients they’re confident of securing in the coming weeks and months.

Their roster extends across a range of industries, including some of the world’s biggest names in gambling, gaming and entertainment. Massive international retailers and huge beauty brands and more.

You’ll get the opportunity to work with them all. As they don’t silo people to individual accounts. This helps address one of the concerns of agency life, stability.

So often when a client departs, most of that account team goes with it. But because of their set up, even if an account were to parts ways, the teams remain secure as they simply shift to support other clients within the existing portfolio.

The added benefit to you through this diversity of experience gained, will be the ability to talk across multiple industries on what best practice looks like. Lifting what works with one, and applying it with others, so they can all enjoy the benefits of your experience. Whilst also skilling you up significantly too as being an industry agnostic search professional.

The Role

This is a technical SEO position. Hands on, dealing with things like SEO audits, and working with clients to improve and optimise SEO for both websites and mobile platforms.

Looking for ways to enhance organic search performance. Utilising Google Search Console and tools like DeepCrawl, AHrefs, Screaming Frog, Search Metrics, LinkResearchTools, etc. to measure and report on performance.

You’ll be client facing, regularly communicating and engaging to show, educate and gain approval for ideas and projects to be undertaken.

There’s going to be some more junior members of the team to support you, and looking to you as a subject matter expert to support them too.

Home work or office based – it’s up to you.

Like most other firms, everything is being done remotely for the time being. That’s likely to be the case well into 2021 too. But they have their offices open for anyone who prefers to go in, but it is purely optional, and will likely be that way for the foreseeable.

So if you’re struggling because you like that separation of work and home life, or maybe you miss the banter, or just don’t like working from a kitchen table and need somewhere with space, the option is there. But the important thing is, it’s up to you.

That said, their offices are stunning. modern, creative and vibrant. The kind of place you’d be proud to walk into every day.

Key Experience

  • Good technical SEO skills - Confident with the use of various SEO tools (some of which listed above)
  • Great attention to detail – and your CV should also reflect this… i.e. no typo’s or grammatical mistakes. As an SEO expert with a fine attention to detail, you should be on top of that kind of thing
  • Good project management skills, and confident handling a client facing role. You’re likely well versed in delivering presentations to clients or internal stakeholders
  • Your experience can be from either brand/client side or agency environments

Although this will be remote for the time being, you’ve got to be able to live and work in the UK, and travel to London, once the Covid situation is over. They also can’t provide visa sponsorship, sorry.
