Job Title: Trade Marketing Manager, Beauty Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 Location: Central London Term: 12 month fixed term contract Who doesn’t enjoy a good pampering! The gentle music, essential oil smell filling the room. Fluffy robes and someone waiting on you hand and foot as you sip on your herbal tea. Okay, so whilst this isn’t job paying you to spend your time living the high life, you will be marketing it on behalf of this luxury skincare brand by the creation and execution of trade marketing programmes for thousands UK spa’s and salons, including the likes of Champneys, David Lloyd, Ballantynes, Ashdown Castle, Celtic Manor, Centre Parcs, etc. The skincare division of the international beauty brand is doing very well and have massive plans for this year connected to a celebration of their heritage. Your role will include engaging around 20+ field business managers who do the selling into accounts. Ensuring they’re kept up to date with product launches and supported with the right marketing collateral, delivered over the right channel mediums. There’s a launch of a new product roughly every month, and the trade channel is probably their biggest revenue driver. You will need to ensure each account type is properly supported with retail POS and marketing collateral, as well as building and executing marketing activation campaigns. You will have direct engagement with some of the biggest accounts through principally bi-annual meets to understand their need for marketing support and how marketing could support their objectives of driving more product sales through their spa and salon venues. Working with internal design teams and external agencies to get things developed and executed. Success is principally measured based on sales performance. How the marketing campaigns you’ve delivered have helped positively influence these and drive customer sales. You will be managing a small team of 1-2 reports. Both are relatively new to the business looking for you to set the direction and prioritise, whilst also supporting their growth and development. If you’re the sort of person who has trade/channel or retail marketing experience and love vivacious, fast-paced working environments where there’s always lots of exciting projects to be getting involved in, chances are you’re going to love this. EXPERIENCE NEEDED Trade, Channel or Retail Marketing experience on behalf of a beauty, skincare or luxury brand before Able to demonstrate where and how what you’ve delivered has helped achieve sales growth and business success Adaptable, can-do attitude.
