As that’s the summary for the opportunity available here.

The firm you’ll be joining is one who already out performing the recognised established digital retailers in this space overseas, and have now turned their attention to building their presence in the UK.

It’s going to be both digital/ecommerce and bricks and mortar retail operation. With the bias being towards digital first.

However their retail channel is not just for sales, it’s to deliver something no competitor in this sector does. Thereby making it an experience and service which will be unparalleled.

 

The Role

As the UK CMO, you will own the UK P&L, leading all commercial activities across physical and digital channels. The ultimate goal is to drive growth. Owning commercial, people and marketing objectives.

Responsible for the UK ecommerce site, its function, look and feel. Ensuring it’s within global brand guidelines, including oversight of all on and off-site promotional strategies, ensuring it’s delivering sales volumes and value.

Signing off on the catalogue of products the UK operation will be selling across both digital and physical estates in all direct to consumer channels. Working with the Global team on prioritisation roadmap for which products they should push through the required quality standards and certification requirements to sell in the UK market from a range of 100,000+ which make up the company’s existing Global offering.

You’ll own the pricing and promotional strategies and tactics, based on business and trading objectives, targets and competitor activity.

You’ll have overall control of all marketing initiatives, strategies and tactics for the UK market in order to drive both brand growth, digital traffic to the D2C ecommerce site and footfall to stores.

In addition, you will be managing showrooms to offer the best experience to our customers, this will include retail marketing operations too.

Finally, will be the need to set out the strategy for team building to cover all these areas. What the recruitment roadmap will look like for each team and business area.

 

Key Experience Necessary

  • Senior level/director calibre experience from a high profile digital first, progressive and rapid growth D2C business
  • Numerical, analytical or engineering type background from college/University – MBA will be beneficial
  • Previous management consulting pedigree – McKinsey/Bain, etc. will be beneficial
  • Able to demonstrate delivery of incredible performance results
  • You’ve been responsible for both building, leading an inspiring teams of marketers, digital and ecommerce functions
  • Ecommerce pedigree with robust experience in digital marketing is preferred
  • Able to successfully orientate in a rapid decision environment and fast-scaling organisation.

Must be able to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
