Office located in Dartford (must drive as not accessible via public transport)
WFH 2 days a week
Full time, permanent role
£60,000 p/a + benefits

 

My client is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team based in Dartford. The company is a market leader in vehicle safety technology, they develop and implement safety solutions for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery which saves lives by preventing collisions.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within the organisation, through developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and ensuring that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance - Identify & ensure compliance meets relevant laws and regulations, including Anti-bribery & Corruption, Modern slavery, ESG & Sustainability, Sanctions, Cybersecurity, AI & FOSS.
  • Supply Chain Management – Ensuring that the whole supply chain adheres to legal regulations, industry standards & internal policies.
  • Customer Compliance – Manage & respond to customer compliance queries
  • Policy Development – Create, review and update compliance policies and procedures
  • Risk Assessment – Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
  • Regulatory Steering Committee Working Group – Actively participate in the group and take ownership of projects and tasks that sit with the Legal & Compliance team.
  • Training – Develop and deliver compliance training to staff
  • Monitoring & Audits – Conduct regular audits and monitoring of compliance activities
  • Investigations – Investigate compliance violations/concerns and identify ways to rectify issues
  • Reporting – Prepare & present compliance reports to senior managers & board of directors.

 

About you

  • Previous experience in a compliance, risk management, or related field.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant regulations
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience would be advantageous
  • Relevant certifications will be an advantage (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – CCEP)
