CRM Marketing Manager
Location: Hertfordshire – Hybrid working set up, in office 2 times a week
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits

If you’re going on holiday this Easter, who’s your OOO victim going to be?

An OOO victim is the person you forward your work emails onto whilst you’re relaxing somewhere, enjoying some well-earned time off. They’re the trusted pair of hands you know will do a good job covering for you because you’re going to return the favour to them at some point later in the year, when it’s your turn to be their OOO victim.

Why’s that important to being a CRM Marketing Manager?

Let’s wind back the clock…

Back to the moments before we had something like this all to look forward to.

To the weeks and months where you had no holiday booked… but you were looking.

You’d been running searches on websites. Checked out a few tour operators, destinations, hotels, travel dates. Maybe you’d travelled with them before. Maybe you just went back to their website a number of times and inputted some data.

Ultimately, that’s when their CRM started to kick in.

Their CDP lifted what it knew about your interests and utilised it to deliver a series of highly targeted, relevant and personalised messages to you. Each pulling on different features and interests until, one day, at the right time. The right message with dynamic content lands in front of you which piques interest and leads to a booking.

It’s that side of the campaign build and execution you’ll be looking after, leading a team of 4 CRM executives who will be taking care of the technical campaign builds.

You providing hands-on management and leadership to them which will include getting your hands dirty with campaigns yourself. Whilst also overseeing the bigger picture commercial objectives behind how the campaigns are performing.

Leading the team through technical build, QA and deployment of dynamic content email marketing CRM on behalf of well known travel company.

As of right now, what you’ll find in place currently is relatively fundamental but being built upon following some investment to bring in cutting edge martech platforms.

So over the coming year there’s going to be a lot of emphasis on focusing on quick win opportunities. Building the infrastructure and foundations for campaigns within their CDP, and building out all customer lifecycle journey email campaigns too.

Ultimately by the end of your first year in role, you will likely have got to a point where there’s a decent quality MVP in place which has world class basics to build upon. Including automations and integration of dynamic content into emails.

In year two it’s going to be around building and scaling upon that. Improving the sophistication of the overall programme make it a truly world-class CRM capability.

The outcome of all of this, if you’re successful in achieving your goals, is creating more OOO victims. As more people book holidays either as new or returning customers.

Fancy it?
