Data Engineer - £35,000 to £68,000 pa + Benefits

This opportunity sits within one of the largest and most ambitious data project teams currently operating in the UK – with a top tier house-hold name company. 

We are looking for 20+ Data Engineers to build out a huge new marketing-oriented data platform that spans across the group of brands within the firm. Initially starting out with a migration from legacy Oracle systems into a new GCP environment, this will build into the design and architecture of new features to allow for advanced Data Science processes to be layered on top.

This is a vast project, unifying 1000s of data sources on a massive scale. Exciting stuff in the world of Data Engineering!

Core skills will include a capability to work in a cloud environment with cloud methodologies, very strong python / SQL skills and exposure to essential GCP tools – such as BigQuery / BigTable / GCP API – or similar. 

We are open to experience levels on this role, but the main competencies are essential.

Salary: £35,000 to £68,000 d.o.e. 

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL
• Strong Python / scripting experience
• Capable of working  in a cloud environment / cloud methodologies (GCP, AWS or Azure)
• Data Migration, Data Warehousing, designing and exploring new tools and features
