Data Science Lead – A job you’ll LOVE!

SALARY -              £65k - £75k plus excellent benefits

LOCATION -        Central London

You don’t always need a Phd in Computer Science or Machine Learning to work in data science, because this data agency will hire Statistical Insight Analysts with potential (and predictive modelling skills!) OR fully-fledged Data Scientists for this lead level role.

Having built the existing Marketing Sciences function of 5 data scientists, we can vouch for the exceptional quality of talent this agency has managed to attract; not just because of the complexity of projects on offer and formal training, but also because of the vision of their Director and his ability to create a culture of friendship, collaboration and camaraderie. Every single person we’ve placed, LOVES their job and more importantly, LOVES their team!

You will look forward to going to work every day, receive recognition and feedback on your work as well as the opportunity to use your skills in management and leadership.

Here, you can stretch and develop your analytical skill set across projects in heat mapping, digital automation and attribution, NLP, predictive analytics and modelling for major luxury retailers, global automotive giants and fast food brands.

Additionally, you will have the chance to manage and coach other Data Scientists, so whether you are an experienced manager or have mentored on a formal basis, we want to hear from you.

Ultimately, you can flourish in a growing Marketing Sciences team, upskilling in cutting edge data science techniques, learn new tools (such as Alteryx) and working with inspiring people.

What’s not to LOVE?

Skills and experience required:

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Machine Learning, Computer Science etc.
  • A background in modelling, segmentation and statistical analysis, including the delivery of actionable insights, in a marketing environment
  • Strong programming experience with either Python AND SQL as a minimum
  • Ability to gather and scope requirements for a variety of analytical projects
  • Ideally some experience with machine learning techniques and a modern approach to omnichannel marketing analysis techniques
  • Ability to engage with senior level client stakeholders and operate at a senior level on projects
