I’m working with a scaling rapid delivery Start-up looking to appoint their first Digital Marketer to the business. The role will be the first in-house digital talent in the business, they have grown organically via traditional bootstrapping methods and now are looking to add PPC & Paid Social to their channels to boost growth.

The role will work directly with the CEO and Director of Operations, to build the digital marketing function from scratch, the role will build the business case for PPC & Paid Social for the business and agree a budget that will balance the demand for their services while not stretching their 4,000 delivery drives to a point beyond their capacity.

They are looking for a tenacious Digital Marketing Manager who is looking for a challenging role to join the team and lead the Digital Marketing activities. They are in an incredibly competitive space so the business has learn to be incredibly agile and be constantly out manoeuvring their competition. This role will focus on the delivery of the performance marketing with a strong focus on PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates and Display and other channels that you think will generate customers. You will need great communication and relationship-building skills as you will be working with multiple internal teams. You will also be responsible for the development and success of our team of digital specialists once the groundwork for the department has been built.

As a valued member of the team you will work closely with the CEO to shape and deliver the digital strategy to increase leads and good quality drive traffic. This role requires an analytical thinker keen on monitoring ROI, who can bring ideas and have the drive to see both large and small projects through to fruition.

The role will be based in their Hackney offices and be responsible for: 

  • Setting up Google AdWords

  • Effectively improving and advising our Seo standards

  • Running our social media platforms

  • Creation of content for social media

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to Digital Marketing, be a team player and really want to forge a career in a career in Digital/Online Marketing.

The Digital Marketing Manager role requires the following experience: 

  • Digital marketing experience in an agency setting or in-house marketing department

  • Curious and analytical thinker: Skilled in using qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions and communicate.

  • Practical experience with biddable marketing channels (e.g. Display, Social, Paid Search)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Search Engine Marketing expertise

  • Data literate

  • Experience utilizing bid management platforms

  • Experience managing outside partners and agencies, including setting expectations and communicating satisfaction and improvement opportunities

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

  • Self-motivated and a team player with an exceptional work ethic

  • Methodical approach to decision-making and problem resolution


Title: Performance Marketing Manager – Digital
Location: Hackney, London – After an initial bedding-in period 2 day a week Hybrid-Model 
Salary: £50k – £65k
