Global Medical Advisor – Move from an affiliate to a global role!

West London

Salary up to £85,00 base + call allowance bonus and full company benefits

If you’re a GMC registered medic working in an affiliate level medical advisor role it’s likely that you’re being well looked after by your employer and that you have career development opportunities to look forward to.  Maybe you’re looking forward to having fuller accountability for a defined therapeutic area, maybe a broader set of responsibilities and accountabilities, and maybe you’re looking to make a move into a more strategic role with a broader geographic remit.

If that sounds like you and you’d like to know about an opportunity where you can move into that kind of role straight away it would be great to speak with you.

I’m working with the global headquarters of a highly respected, well-established niche pharmaceutical business.  With a reputation as a leader in their field, they’re well placed to support talented medical affairs physicians make a tangible move forward in their career, particularly those seeking a move from a locally focused role to a global remit.

The position I’m recruiting for is a global medical advisor. The role holder will have full accountability from a medical perspective for two products which are core to the company’s portfolio which are both marketed and at pre-launch phases in their life cycle.

The role is broad and has a range of duties including but not limited to:

  • Contributing to the strategic global brand plan for your products from a medical perspective working in close partnership with commercial partners.
  • Oversight of late phase clinical study planning
  • Advisory board planning and management as well as a broad range of other activities related to external KOL engagement.
  • Using your clinical and commercial expertise to influence key decisions internally pertaining to all aspects of the medical management of the products.
  • The role would also have significant accountability for the medical aspects of safety and regulatory activities that are undertaken for the product.
  • Also acting as the medical final signatory at a local and regional level.

I’m looking for people who meet the following brief:

  • A GMC registered physician or a physician with analogous EU medical registration. I regret that this role is not open to pharmacists, even those who are already final signatories.
  • A solid background in a medical advisor or related medical affairs role.
  • It’s expected that you’ll be an established final signatory already but if you come to the table with a solid background in medical affairs and are on track to gain this status we can certainly talk.
  • From a behavioral/attitude perspective you’ll be clear thinking, diplomatic, strong in your influencing skills, and capable of effectively managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

What’s on offer is a great opportunity to take a clear, tangible step forward in your medical affairs career with all the support and development opportunities that you’ll need.
