Head of Digital Marketing Location: Just south of Manchester – commutable by tram Office setup – 3 days in office, 2 from home Salary: Up to £80k base plus company performance bonus, pension, healthcare, etc. The Insurance market is a fiercely competitive space. With big PPC costs for specific key terms and some incredibly large budgets to play with which need a close eye kept on them to ensure things are delivering the right level of profitability and doesn’t just become a black hole arms race to achieve volumes without the proper value attached at the back end. As the marketing team’s leader, you’ll be oversighting the performance aspect of their marketing engine across all paid media and social channels. As well as defining the best way forward from a copy and content perspective to broaden out what digital demand generation channels. Introducing a content marketing strategy which will target both business and consumer audiences alike. Your role will encompass leading the demand and performance marketing programmes for both sides of the business. Additional responsibilities include: Creating marketing strategies to develop Performance Marketing campaigns in order to drive offline customer acquisition Oversee the capture of online leads and how they’re managed through the funnel. With oversight of creative and graphic assets for use in digital campaigns Lead a team of PPC and paid social specialists. Setting their tasks and objectives in order to drive the right volumes, converting at the right CPA levels Coach and mentor the existing team, as well as establish a vision and direction for growth within the function. Both for existing team members and new skill requirements needed to support the company’s growth ambitions for marketing Devise a strategy for content marketing and how to best implement it within the business About the firm: They’ve got multiple offices across the UK and have recently extended into South Africa. The wider business works with the biggest names in UK subscription TV and Media, major telecoms and mobile providers as well as other insurance companies too. The services they provide include customer management across service and sales. As well as their own proposition which deals with saving consumers and businesses money by comparing utility services and providing switching services. They stand at around a thousand headcount at the moment, but with expansion underway in South African and new offices opening. This number is set to rise quickly. What we’re looking for: A digital performance marketing leader with a credible background in delivering b2b and b2c lead and acquisition marketing objectives Experience overseeing 8-figure paid media budgets and their optimisation – across PPC, display, paid social, etc. Experience creating and managing an acquisition strategy across Digital channels Good knowledge of content marketing as part of a lead generation engine Experience working into C-suite individuals Credible experience managing & mentoring a team of 5+ Lived experience in a regulated environment such as telecoms or Financial Services would be beneficial TO APPLY If you think you’ve got what it takes, you can share your Linkedin profile or email me a CV – it doesn’t have to be up to date, we can work on that once you decide you want to take this forward.
