HR Manager, East Sussex

This leading Sussex-based law firm is recognised by some of the highest legal bodies in the country, including the Legal 500 and Chambers. This firm was founded over 100 years ago and with their strong values surrounding responsiveness and understanding – they have developed a well-respected name, not only in their local area but also across the rest of the South East.


The Role
The firm are currently looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their team. This person will ideally be coming from a legal firm – and if not, then from another professional services firm. This person must also be CIPD qualified, or alternatively have an MBA/HND in Human Resources Management. The key duties of this role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Dealing with all aspects of the firm’s employment process
  • Managing some complex employee relation issues including grievances, redundancies and absences
  • Overseeing the induction process for new starters
  • Dealing with staff appraisals and salary reviews
  • Maintenance of staff details and records
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Preparation of employee contracts
  • Developing the firm’s HR policies and procedures

Location: Ideal main city East Sussex location
Salary: £40,000-£50,000
