Infrastructure Engineer (Remote/Derby)

 

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid role- Split between remote and either Derby, Milton Keynes or London

Initially the role will be completely remote but will move to a hybrid way of working with time split between any of their office and working from home. Physical hardware is in Derby so very occasional travel to Derby is required but will be paid for.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

The role:

The successful candidate will join the infrastructure team and be responsible for designing and maintaining the environments which run all of their development pipelines and customer facing applications.  As well as the fundamental objective of ensuring the CI/CD environment is up and running the role includes writing scripts for cloud and on prem solutions, supporting the architect with infrastructure designs, planning and preparing upgrades to the platform and working with suppliers and consultants to ensure best practices are being carried out.

Requirements:

  • Experience with multiple Operating Systems- Windows and Linux
  • Experience and Knowledge of Cloud Systems (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premise infrastructures
  • Experience of CI/CD Pipelines
  • Knowledge of Container tools (e.g, Docker)
  • Knowledge of Virtualisation (Hyper v or VmWare)
  • Knowledge of and ability to script
  • Solid Networking Fundamentals.
