Interim CRM Consultant – Braze
Term - initially 3 months, likely to extend
Rate: £300 per day, outside IR35
Location – London offices twice a week ideally

This is a technical CRM role which requires someone who has knowledge and experience of utilising Braze. Without it, unfortunately it’s not going to be much help to the end client, as that’s where their technical knowledge gap lies.

That said, this isn’t a developer position. It’s a full CRM role covering the thinking side of campaigns. The campaign strategy piece itself, as well as the build and execution side which will utilise the Braze platform and the reporting, tools and features of the platform itself.

The company you’ll be joining has recently undertaken a platform migration, and only has a small CRM team in place. Naturally there’s lots that needs standing up and building, including the creation of new channels for them, such as SMS. But the team doesn’t have headroom to pick up on this added workstream. Hence the need for contractor/interim support.

With new channels, such as SMS and push notifications, you’d be getting involved with the end-to-end. Building the strategy behind it, how to build the journey flows and get things up and ready, pushed through to implementation.

Whilst you’re doing this, you’ll also be supporting the existing team, providing knowledge share on how to get the best out of Braze. Where the shortcuts are, and sharing your wealth of knowledge to help them get up to speed and become more familiar and confident with the platform too.

It’s this latter piece which is why they’ve requested time in the office, so the team can absorb some of your knowledge. But it’s not a hard and fast requirement and there is the ability to flex on that, particularly if coming to London is a long journey for you.

The interview process for this will be two stages, both by video interview. With one of the team managers, and then with a couple of the company’s directors. But once that’s done and everyone’s happy, you’ll be able to start quickly and get involved with the programme of work ahead.

Expectations are for this contract to likely extend a couple of times because of the workload ahead, coupled with just how lean the current team set up is.

Experience Needed

  • Absolutely must know and have worked with Braze before. So you know how to launch new journey flows and build campaigns using it. Plus have knowledge of doing so across the relevant channels of SMS, push and in-app messaging.
  • You come from a CRM marketing background. So you understand and have experience of CRM campaign strategy. Not a just developer background using the tool.
  • Knowledge of CRM lifecycle management and marketing automation
