IT Support Engineer, Addlestone, £28-32K 
IT support, 2nd Line Support, Infrastructure, Software, Systems, Active Directory, VMWare, o365, Network Administration, MS Exchange 
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and upcoming Support Engineer, experienced in delivering 1st and 2nd line support services. We want someone who's keen to advance their skills with systems administration. this is not just your average IT support opportunity..
 
You will get to project manage internal projects of new internal systems and requirements. You will use your existing network infrastructure and IT systems support skills to add value straight away. You will also want to move your career forward. You will be trained and grown from 2nd line to 3rd line during your career. 
 
Key responsibilities:
General implementation and support of the ICT function and systems on a day to day basis. This will include but is not limited to the following. 
 
Provide 1st and 2nd line support and incident management coverage
Network and server administration 
Able to build great working relationships with end users
Support network infrastructure, internet access, email, intranet, telecommunications, WAN, etc
Support internal IT systems and servers including O365, MS Windows Server, MS Exchange, VMware, MS Windows clients & MS SQL Server
Support of all current security, anti-virus, backup and disaster recovery processes in place 
Participate in an on-call rota, be responsible for the administration of all incidents raised with the ICT service desk 
 
Knowledge, skills, abilities: 
Experience in 1st and 2nd line support to users 
Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Ability to work independently 
 
You'll need experience of:
MS Active directory
Troubleshooting in network / internet and database connectivity
Patch management, build, imaging and deployment 
 
Any skills in the following would be highly advantageous 
o O365
o Advanced Win Server Administration, Build and Troubleshooting
o Virtualisation, VMware
o Intune
o MS SQL Service
o Security
 
Education and experience: 
Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience 
Any technical certification such as ITIL, MCPs MCSA MCSE

Additional information:
 
You will need to take part in on call shift patterns the team provides.  
There will be occasional travel required to other company offices, data centres and events as and when required.
