Lead Data Analytics Consultant - MSBI Azure

£70,000 - £90,000 p/a + Bonus + Benefits

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a global Microsoft Gold partner. They provide offers remote working, allowing you to work from home with the understanding that some travel may be required to client sites from time to time. 

In this role, you will leverage your experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and techniques to advise clients on the best analytics practices and deliver cutting-edge solutions that will provide significant commercial advantage to our clients. You will be responsible for capturing client requirements, modelling data, and developing effective intelligence solutions that are delivered on time and to budget.

Key responsibilities include advising clients on analytics best practices, designing bespoke business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions, implementing solutions using best practices for data management and transformation, and designing and developing effective reports and dashboards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have strong client-facing experience working for a management consultancy or system integrator. 

Essential Technical & Data Skills:
Experience designing or developing advanced business intelligence and analytics solutions using the full Microsoft BI stack:

  • SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS. 
  • T-SQL
  • Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse
  • Power BI (Dax)
  • Data Modelling (Kimball)

You must be able to translate business requirements into technical requirements and have design and development experience using MS Power BI

Experience in modelling and transforming data, building ETL solutions, and presenting data in a useful business context. Experience developing data warehouses and data marts using the Kimball methodology is also preferred. 

Experience or awareness of Big Data and Data Science related technologies, such as R or Azure Machine Learning, to design and implement predictive analytics models is a plus but not essential.

In addition to your technical skills, you must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ideally you'll have a numerate degree in mathematical or computer science-related disciplines with good problem-solving skills.
