Lead Technical Architect - Mobile Services

📍 Location: Manchester (Hybrid: 40% on-site, 60% remote)
💰 Day Rate: £500 - £600

About the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Technical Architect to drive innovation and excellence in mobile services for a key government department. With over 20,000 mobile devices to manage, you’ll take charge of creating the technical strategy, roadmap, and high-level designs for the next phase of our product’s evolution.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects, including BYOD implementation, Mobile Threat Defence, eSim deployment, and more. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-driven, user-centric solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Define the product’s technical roadmap and lead high-level architecture design.
• Innovation: Spearhead projects that improve user experience, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work with internal teams, leadership, and suppliers to implement cutting-edge solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Address challenges with strategic focus, ensuring seamless service for users.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Lead Technical Architect in large, complex IT environments.
• Expertise in Mobile Device Management, including Workspace ONE, iOS, and Android.
• Strong infrastructure knowledge, covering Windows servers, networking, firewalls, and cloud technologies.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies and CI/CD strategies.
• Knowledge of security architecture and Zero Trust frameworks is highly desirable.
