Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus benefits We are looking for a bright, curious-minded Analyst who understands business mechanics and wants to develop a career down the marketing/campaign/media analytics space. You’ll be supporting the Head of Marketing and wider marketing team with campaign performance tracking and attribution analysis, forecasting and planning in order to optimise all marketing performance and maximise ROI. Other responsibilities will include campaign and audience targeting based on media analysis, the provision of marketing reports to the wider business, working with external media/digital agencies to ensure effective measurement of the customer journey from lead generation through to purchase, including cross and up selling additional services, and defining and monitoring clear target customer profiles. You’ll be reporting to and be mentored by the Head of Marketing, and an impressive Marketing Director who’s sharp as a tack around the performance side of marketing channels. Plus who’s had a really prolific career working with both major brands, as well as scaling up start-ups into impressive and profitable businesses. They’re a collaborative bunch, and frequently muck in to support on projects to pull all the pieces together, so a team mentality is key. Similarly, this will be a rapidly scaling business, with a programme that’s only going to increase in sophistication as the business continues to grow. Key Experience Necessary Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science. Exceptional analytical skills and a passion for numbers, ideally with some internship or commercial experience of working as an Analyst with marketing/media data Technically proficient using Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ideally experience with programming tools such as SQL, Python or R a distinct advantage. Close attention to detail, especially in reporting and analysis, to ensure that results are correct, complete and relevant. A close focus on the outcome – delivering complete results, ensuring that the level of detail is sufficient and resource is not wasted on unnecessary complexity and detail. An inquisitive personality – always seeking to understand the drivers, identify faults and get the detail right. Having a creative attitude when seeking new, innovative and improved approaches to problems and tasks and in analysing results to identify all value-driving insight. Collaborative mindset to work closely with marketing colleagues and those outside marketing (such as MI, web and finance). Manage multiple tasks on a daily basis and work well within a team environment. Direct marketing experience is not required but an appetite to learn fast on the job is essential.
