Microsoft Data & AI Architect

The Opportunity

My client is looking for an experienced Data & AI Architect to help lead and scale our growing Microsoft practice in the UK. This is a hands-on, delivery-led leadership role combining client programme governance, presales solution shaping, and capability building. You will move confidently between C-suite strategy, hands-on architectural governance, and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery Leadership: Lead major enterprise Data & AI initiatives from strategy through realization; act as trusted adviser and design authority across complex client programmes.
• Presales & Market Growth: Partner with account leaders to qualify and convert opportunities; design bids and proposals; co-sell alongside Microsoft teams.
• Practice Building: Define capability roadmaps, mentor high-performing teams (architects, engineers, analysts), and build reusable assets and reference architectures.

Key Requirements

• Leadership: Proven track record leading enterprise data/AI consulting engagements and driving commercial delivery outcomes.
• Microsoft Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and the broader Azure ecosystem (Synapse, Databricks, ADF, Purview).
• AI & Strategy: Practical experience with AI/GenAI use cases, data readiness, governance, and business adoption.
• Presales & Commercial Acumen: Experience leading solution design, estimation, and executive client presentations.

Desirable Experience

• Industry experience in Utilities, Government, or Financial Services.
• Practice-building experience or familiarity with Microsoft partner programmes and co-selling motions.
• Microsoft certifications (Fabric, Power BI, Azure, AI) or UK security clearance eligibility.
