Network Operations Engineer- Hilversum

No more night shifts! No more weird patterns! Weekends off!!

There is an opportunity for an Engineer within the Network Operations Department of an Internet and Media focused company in Hilversum and you’d be working standard office hours from Monday to Friday!

Now they can’t just leave the Network unattended over night so there is an on-call rota which will be split between all the engineers in the team.

The company are Internet and media focused with all business customers. They are a smaller organisation with around 40 people in the company including some incredibly talented technical engineers. Due to the size of the company they have the luxury of giving their employees freedom, not only in terms of working hours flexibility but also in the methods of working.

Unlike a lot of Network Operations jobs, you will be given the opportunity to work on projects and design with the engineering team and you will gain experience and skills across all of Network engineering not solely Operations. They treat the Operations team as a feeder into the engineering team meaning you will be constantly developing and have a clear career plan in place.

It is a multivendor environment, but the core of the network is Juniper, with that in mind you will gain certifications and receive a lot of training on Juniper but also other vendors like Fortinet, Checkpoint and Cisco.

Basic salaries up to €3,500 per month. On call allowance of €300 plus benefits.

Requirements:

• MBO/HBO working level
• Fluent Dutch Speaking
• Knowledge of Routing protocols- BGP, OSPF, MPLS
• TCP/IP, Routing and Switching and Sub-netting skills.
• Knowledge of Internet/ Telecommunications technologies
• Experience with Juniper is a plus
• CCNA/JNCIA is a plus
