Title: Paid Media Manager – Sport & eSports Clients – PPC & Paid Social – London – 2 Days a week

Location: London – 2 days a week

Salary £30-£45k plus benefits package

I’m looking for a Paid Media Manager to join a well-established performance marketing agency, they have been going for the last 20 years and have built a great stable of eCommerce, sports & media clients all focused on digital or growth. This role will be based in the Sports Media team.

The role is very broad and will give a lot of day to day variety. The role does require hands on Paid Media experience, ideally PPC, Paid Social and exposure to a few other channels but the majority of the role will be focused on Account Manager, they are looking for someone to be the main point for their major sports accounts, so the campaigns will be focused on brand build, generating awareness and most importantly getting eyes on the events.

This role pays between £30-£45k depending on experience and the benefits package is above average with a few luxuries

You will join an already established Paid Media team of around 25 strong and report into the Head of Digital Media. There are plans to grow the Paid Media team by an extra 4 people in the coming months and some additional changes in the wider team. They are looking for candidates to be part of an incredible and growing team with big ambitions!

This role is client-facing and will be working with a range of sports & media clients covering in the majority Lead Gen and Brand Build, the role requires experience across Search, Paid Social and other channels. This selection of clients all have six-figure monthly budgets and often operate on a UK or global basis, so there is plenty of opportunity to experiment with campaigns across different regions. This role is the first step to strategic management but will remain hands on in the most part, they have a hands-on ethos so everyone in the business still hands right up to the directors.

All of the assigned clients have a Growth mindset so they will be constantly pushing for a greater ROI, building strong trustworthy relationships with the clients and act as a consultant and prepared to push back when needed.

This role primarily focuses on PPC & Paid Social they have additional training available (if you need it). They are happy to cross-train to other areas of marketing or creativity in the long term, they believe learning never stops so aim to provide learning opportunities constantly, this leaves your career progression completely in your hands.  

The agency works with eCommerce in majority but they do have some insurance & tech clients so previous experience with both sectors would be advantageous. The most important thing for this agency is you and your personality. Skills can be taught but ambition and drive can’t; as long as you have heaps of that then this could be the perfect move for you.

Responsibilities

  • To work closely with clients to ensure a full understanding of their business, digital needs, and priorities
  • To work closely with your Account Director and Business Director to ensure all accounts have a performance & commercial strategy
  • To work closely with suppliers to ensure above the line media is planned and executed and ensuring clients are at the forefront of industry developments.
  • Ensure all activity meets or exceeds the client’s performance expectations
  • To manage budgets in line with strategy and ensure that monthly spend is on target
  • Highly organised individual managing a number of different clients and campaigns at any one time
  • Clearly briefing and managing operational executives to ensure that work is delivered to an exceptional standard, on target and on time
  • Quality control of work conducted by junior and more operational members of the team
  • To work with Account Director and Business Director across a range of tasks to further the scale, capabilities, and quality of the offering, including:
    • Media supplier relationships
    • Technology and automation
    • Training plans
    • New business (both preparation and attendance)

Experience

  • A few years managing paid media accounts working towards client’s goals on a DR or performance basis
  • Experience with Digital Brand campaigns with Above the Line planning being a big bonus!
  • Ability to compile media plans across multiple Digital channels
  • Comfortable preparing and presenting client presentations and QBR’s

Desirable

  • Experience running and optimising media campaigns – e.g PPC, Paid Social, Display, Video
  • Experience with Adserver Tracking
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics
