What’s the chances of you walking in the door of Google, Facebook or LinkedIn and showing them how to do Paid Search?

Well, here’s your chance. And I’m not joking…

THE ROLE

Whilst you won’t be an employee of one of those three, you will be working with one of them, as you’ll be working for their agency.

But it’s not your normal ‘respond to brief and check in monthly’ kind of agency role. This is more akin to in-house consultancy.

It’s a relatively new team being built across the EMEA region to take control of the client relationship in those regions from the US. The demand has grown a lot over the last year and is now growing to become a new team of 11 handling the client’s needs across the EMEA region.

You’ll be coming in as the client lead. Responsible for the strategy, but not being so far removed that you can’t get involved too.  After all, how can you know if your strategy is right if you’re not up to speed of the operational mechanics of paid search media, PPC and video ads?

You’ll be embedding with the one client, but it’s a biggie. Covering both the planning and execution, as well as client engagement and management.

You’ll be the kind of person who keeps an eye on what’s coming down path in the world of digital performance media, and how that’s going to be of benefit or could be used to drive better outcomes for the client.

The client you’ll be leading engagement with are kind of a big deal. They’ve essentially invented some of this stuff, and you’re going to need to be the kind of person who’s confident enough with your knowledge of the ecosystem and how it all works to pitch ideas, put forward strategies and be competent and confident enough to stand up to the client’s potential questioning.

That said, they’re not a difficult bunch. Just knowledgeable themselves. So they know what good should look like. But are also prepared to listen to new ideas and take them onboard. That’s how this company’s been so successful with growing their footprint and service offering with them in recent years.

KEY EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Leadership experience with a deep knowledge in digital paid media – PPC, Google Ads, Video Ads, Doubleclick campaign management
  • Experience managing complex digital paid media programmes across multiple regions
  • Detail oriented. You get the numbers side of digital performance and can really drill into these to optimise programmes
  • Have experience of building teams
  • Have a consulting style approach to engaging people. Understanding their challenges and coming up with robust solutions which stand up to scrutiny
  • Experience doing this kind of thing in B2B / Tech industries ideal – agency or client side… or a mix of both.
