Role: Senior Data Engineer Location: Central London, Zone 2 West Salary: £75-85,000 + bonus + benefits Data is critical in gaining a competitive advantage in business – and a competitive advantage is paramount when you are at the top. A leader for the Data Engineering brand is required to take things to the next level. A technically strong captain with a passion for hands-on development is key. You’ll find yourself working with stakeholders in a business-facing environment and effectively communicating with the Data Science team to produce elegant solutions to tough problems. You’ll work with massive data sets and apply the latest technologies – and have the support of an entire data-driven business behind you, taking things to the next level. A deep knowledge of Python is key, and technical experience with Spark, Airflow and Hadoop or Data Bricks is essential. This is run on Amazon EMR – an extensive background with AWS will go a very long way and experience with Snowflake is a plus. Scala and Java would be great too. Beyond that, this would be an incredible chance to lead a team of next-generation Data Engineers through high-quality projects – with great exposure to Machine Learning and AI operations.
