Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Lead Generation & CRM
Location: Just south of Manchester – commutable by tram
Office setup – 3 days in office, 2 from home
Salary: Up to £65k base plus company performance bonus, pension, healthcare, etc.

With this you’re going to be looking full funnel marketing covering acquisition and customer marketing.

Owning top of the funnel and the acquisition channels across PPC and Paid Social. Ensuring bid strategies are on point and ROI is being delivered. Which is going to be really important as some of the key terms can be really quite pricey and fiercely competitive. So you’re going to want to ensure you’re getting a decent return on that marketing investment.

Plus owning the strategy and execution of their paid social strategy too. Which social channels, what bid strategy, ad placement, etc. Effective measurement and optimisation to ensure ROI is delivered.

But you’re also going to be responsible for CRM too. This will include marketing automation. Whilst they have a very loyal customer base, they recognise the current sophistication of their CRM programme could do with revamping.

They’ve got Salesforce in place, but the strategy behind some of the journeys needs rethinking and mapping. This presents an opportunity to broaden out channels for engagement, which will include an opportunity to re-imagine content and copy too.

About the Business

The business you’ll be doing this for is a financial services specialist. They’ve been around for a long time and service the needs of principally SME and SOHO markets. Their target audience tends to fall through the cracks of mainstream financial lenders.

They have operations based in the UK and Asia, and currently stands around 500 people. They business has recently appointed a new CMO who is undertaking a revamp of the company’s marketing strategy and created new position, of which this is one of them.

You will be reporting to that CMO and be a part of the new senior marketing team. It’s an individual contributor position responsible for strategy and execution.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creating marketing strategies to develop Performance Marketing campaigns in order to drive offline customer acquisition
  • Oversee the capture of online leads and how they’re managed through the funnel. With oversight of creative and graphic assets for use in digital campaigns
  • Lead on PPC & Paid Social. Setting tasks & objectives in order to drive the right volumes, converting at the right CPA levels
  • Coach and mentor the existing team, as well as establish a vision and direction for growth within the function. Both for existing team members and new skill requirements needed to support the company’s growth ambitions for marketing
  • Devise a strategy for content marketing and how to best implement it within the business
  • Undertake research to understand the demographic targets and achieve best results through user experience and customer journey
  • Develop and manage CRM campaigns
  • Build and refine marketing automation campaigns to re-engage and nurture prospects, and maximise our funnel performance

What we’re looking for:

  • A digital performance marker with a credible background in delivering b2b and b2c lead and acquisition marketing objectives
  • Experience overseeing 7-figure paid media budgets and their optimisation – across PPC, display, paid social, etc.
  • Experience creating and managing an acquisition strategy across Digital channels
  • Good knowledge of CRM as part of a lead generation engine -Experience working with Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience working into C-suite individuals on a daily basis is preferred
  • Credible experience managing & mentoring a team would be beneficial
  • Lived experience in a regulated environment such as telecoms or Financial Services would be beneficial
