Commercial Operations Analyst

£45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is a chance for a Commercial Operations Analyst with a strong data background, able to interface with business leaders, understand their data / reporting requirements and then offer solutions based on what the data can do and importantly, what the limitations are.

Your understanding of data capabilities and limitations will be a key factor in driving business decisions and reporting ability. Your skills will include good business, commercial and financial awareness.

Role Purpose:

To help build business, commercial and analytical focus throughout the company.

Work with your team to identify key metrics / KPI’s and data requirements needed to develop a Business Stream and company-wide, single, robust data set.

Work with the Data and Information Technology teams to implement necessary technological solutions required to gather, collate and analyse data and support business decision making.

Create ideas and specific recommendations for strategic and operational improvements, perform risk/opportunity analysis to support such recommendations, and work with the Business Improvement team/local champions to implement those recommendations.

Using data modelling practices and working with Steering and Measuring teams, build understanding amongst your team of the cost and revenue impacts of their operations and decision making.

Skills / Experience:

• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Demonstrable commercial, business and financial awareness
• Knowledge of IT and data modelling tool/techniques
• Experience of producing business cases and recommendations

Technical Skills:

• SQL
• Excel
• Power BI or similar

Additional Information:

Initially this role will be a 12 month Fixed Term Contract but there is every possibility it will either extend or become a permanent position.

Due to the nature of the organisation, all employees are required to be security cleared to SC level. If successful in your application the company will support you with the SC process.

As a guideline only, you would normally need to have been a UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years.
