Role: Digital Product Manager

Working set up: Remote, but must be able to travel to London site every so often.

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus 20% bonus and benefits

The UK is a land of pet lovers. There’s no question about that.

But pets are expensive.

Food, vet bills, insurance, annual check-ups, having to buy multiple leads a month as your puppy keeps chewing through them.

Wouldn’t it be nice to get something back? For you, their owner and parent to get a treat every now and again? To be rewarded for being a responsible pet owner and your loyalty to certain businesses too?

Well, that’s the premise of this ground-breaking pet centric business which rewards pet owners for engaging with their pet's health and wellbeing needs.

You will join their pack to help shape the future of pet wellbeing. Becoming part of an organisation which links together a group of pet businesses, including a veterinary care app powered by AI technology, a pet insurtech brand and other insurance brands as well as third party partners.

This is a digital first, app-based platform, and the ambition over the coming 12 months is to gain 1m active users.

About the Role

The life and soul of this business is in its app. This means from a product perspective, you’ll be responsible for helping devise the experience this app delivers to its users.

  • Identifying and prioritising future features and functionality
  • How that experience is brought to life
  • How it feeds into the overall customer journey and experiences
  • Identifying fixes which might be necessary
  • Working with the developer team who’ll handle the technical coding and building to make it all real

From a functional perspective, the app integrates with a range of smart/wearable devices. Capturing and tracking data about the wearer.

This data is translated into reward points which can be spent on loyalty benefits.

The app also provides the user with rich content to engage with for educational purposes and advise. As well as a range of other features created to gamify the platform, encourage regular usage and reward the user for positive tropes and behaviours expected of being a responsible pet parent.

What's even better? This is a "work from anywhere" business, with the opportunity to utilise co-working office space in London when required.

There’s also a comprehensive benefits package, including a salary of £50,000 to £60,000, a 20% bonus, pension, healthcare, and life assurance.

Remit:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that features are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Analyse consumer usage and behaviour data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for new features.
  • Work with the design team to create wireframes and prototypes for new features.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that they are informed of progress and any potential issues.
  • Use data to make informed decisions about the direction of the product and the prioritization of features.

Experience Needed:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in a B2C digital business.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience managing product feature backlogs.
  • Analytical skills and experience with tools such as Google Analytics, App Insights or Power BI.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience dealing with a mobile app roadmap development is a plus, as well as business casing for features and functionality
  • Comfortable working with development teams, creating the technical briefs for them to deliver to and working with them to ensure what's built meets objectives

  • A strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit
