Role: Global Marketing Production Lead
Location
: Hybrid - 2 days in office, Central London
Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 plus discretionary bonus, plus benefits and lots more.

What if you knew the job you took now was a two year runway which would transform you into one of the most in-demand people within the marketing agency industry?

You’d think it’s just another recruiter making outlandish claims which couldn’t be backed up, right?

What if they weren’t?

What if the programmes of work you’ll be handling are industry firsts. Designed to scale, personalise and automate marketing campaigns across print, digital and moving image channels the likes of which the agency world has never successfully achieved before?

And on a global basis, on behalf of a huge consumer brand, in a team like no other.

It’s a function who services one client. The team brings together the very best talent this global network agency has to offer across media, creative, digital, data, insight, data planning, campaign production, automation, etc. etc.

You’ll be reporting to the Client Services Director, responsible for a team of 5. There’s a dotted line to an overseas team of 50 who handle the creation of campaign assets, plus oversight of regional teams who oversee production execution too.

Your direct team of project and production managers will grow as the transformation programme scales and evolves.

Right now they’re in the transition and transformation stage. Identifying workstreams with the client which can be brought into scope, with the ambition to move from manual production processes to fully automated. Achieving scale, cost benefit and speed, whilst maintaining calibre and quality. Delivering millions of marketing messages which look and feel like they’re one-to-one to global audiences across print, digital and moving image channels.

You’ll be hands-on, getting into the weeds of day-to-day transformation programmes. Looking after the bigger picture of what the agency is looking to achieve. Networking and interacting with very senior stakeholders with the client. Scoping work, managing expectations, championing and protecting your team as appropriate.

Ambition is for things to move from transformation and transition into automation and scale in the next two years. Once achieved, your experience will likely be unique in market and see other agencies looking to emulate. Making you someone very much in demand!

There is some travel required as part of the role, but we’re only looking at around one night a month overseas to deliver various presentations and status updates to the client in person at their HQ.

In addition to how unique the opportunity itself is, there’s the company you’ll be working with too.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • An agency background in marketing/campaign production, overseeing print, digital and moving images
  • Have experience of managing an international/global account. So understand the complexities of working in a matrix environment, and appreciate the nuances in markets outside the EU
  • Have experience of owning the strategy behind driving adoption of transformative marketing production capabilities
  • Line management experience of experienced talent
  • Close enough to the production side still that you’re able to get into the weeds and deal with issues hands-on when necessary
  • Ideally have some knowledge and experience of automation within this field.
