Role:                     Interim Technical Project Manager
Location:             Central London twice a week
Rate:                     £400 to £485 per day, Inside IR35
Term:                    3 to 6 months

An automotive giant is in the midst of a major upgrade of their martech stack and creating a data lake, moving systems from on-prem to cloud. Connecting up previously siloed data resources and helping to create a raft of new features and opportunities to commercialise their data resources.

Your role will be to coordinate projects aligned to this programme of work.

Gathering requirements, understanding the scope for each project. Determining goals and objectives. Planning the resource required along with setting out timeframes for delivery. Controlling budgets and managing stakeholder expectations for projects in process.

You’ll be working agency side, in a special function made up of around 1,200 people across different territories and disciplines. It’s a global network of agencies who come together to deliver to this automotive giant’s marketing, digital, creative and technical needs.

You’ll be working in an Agile environment and will need to have a technical understanding of cloud computing in order to be conversant with some of the projects you’ll be overseeing.

You will also be engaging with the end client directly when scoping out projects. Negotiating budgets, organising scheduling for delivery, and discussing possible alternative approaches, what the pro’s and con’s might be for each.

The programme of work is scheduled to run over at least the next 6 months.

They’re an incredibly well-respected agency with a large, diverse roster of prestigious clients. The agency has a global presence, with offices all round the world. The side of the business you’ll be joining specialises within the data field. This includes data science, data strategy, CRM, relational marketing and personalisation. But the scope of projects also include digital transformation programmes for end clients.

KEY EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrable experience in delivering technical migration and transitional programmes
• Lots of experience handling complex projects which include aspects of cloud computing
• Competent with scoping, scheduling, budgeting for projects
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ideally some experience working in an agency/consulting type environment
• You know Agile inside and out
