Lead Customer Insight Analyst

This role sits within the Customer Insight function, reporting into the head of function,


Your focus will be to lead on analysis and insights around store performance and customer behaviour, looking at things like promotional activity and measuring the success of in store trials as well as doing ad hoc deep dive customer insight projects; so a background in retail would be beneficial, but is by no means essential.   


So we need someone with a strong background in customer insights analysis, someone interested in working in a business facing role, working consultatively to provide actionable insights around individual store performance and customer behaviour in order to improve overall business performance.   


Your background may be customer insights focused or even pricing and promotions but fundamentally you will need the ability to use test and learn techniques to measure and improve marketing activity, promotional roll outs and overall business performance as well as more advanced statistical analytical techniques such as modelling.   


Technically this role employs SQL to an advanced level as well as ABT (training will be provided in the latter). Additionally, you will also be managing a Senior Customer Insight Analysts so experience in tools such as SAS, R to Python would be required.

POSITION -              Lead Customer Insight Analyst


LOCATION -             West London


SALARY -                  £60k - £65k plus excellent benefits, discounts & 10% bonus





  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject
  • Extensive experience within a statistical customer insight role
  • You must have worked with SQL, as well either R, Python or SAS to analyse large transactional customer data sets in the past or currently
  • Ideally experience in split run A/B testing / multivariate testing
  • Expert in identifying insights which help and inform decision making around multichannel marketing activity and customer buying behaviour
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver actionable insights on how to improve customer understanding and relationships
  • Ability to lead or mentor more junior members of staff
