Title: PPC Manager

Location: Brighton

Hybrid Split: Flexible – The client will consider from 1 day in office to 3 but your presence in the office maybe required during busy sales periods such as Christmas.

Salary: £30k - 45k plus benefits

Are you looking for a new challenge? Then this role could be for you. I’m working with a VC-backed eCommerce client looking to expand their Digital team. The business has ambitious growth plans and is on track to treble in size over the next year years.

They are looking to hire a PPC Manager as the first step in their growth plan The role will report to the CFO to start with and then report to a CMO once certain growth metrics are hit. The role will take the lead on all hands-on PPC campaigns for the eCommerce client They are the number 1 retailer in their space and have big plans to become a household name in eCommerce. You will be the driving force for the initial growth phase. Working for this retailer you will build on your skills in search, the role will cover Google Search(Adwords), Google Shopping/PMAX and Bing have exposure to Paid Social (Training will be available)

This role will be taking the lead on their Search strategy, 90% of their business comes from search so this role is critical to the business and is a real opportunity to shine and have exposure to senior leaders. All of their search is currently managed by an agency so the first big challenge will be to bring everything in-house!

Working with multi-million-pound budgets you will need to have experience of working with a minimum of £100k - £150k a month budgets and be able to demonstrate when to use Google best practices and when you to use your experience to gain a better ROAS.

This role also has the opportunity to work with Paid Social across a few different platforms so previous experience or a passion to learn would be advantageous. Role Responsibilities:

  • Taking full ownership of paid search – This role will be hands on PPC!
  • Creating, developing & implementing effective long- and short-term paid search strategies
  • Managing significant monthly PPC budgets (£100k - £150k) and tracking performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Executing & optimizing multiple PPC campaigns.
  • Overseeing campaigns across a number of search platforms (e.g. Google Ads,  Social Media ads, Bing).
  • Targeting selected groups through keyword and audience research.
  • Managing and editing campaign budgets and adjusting bids to optimise ROAS.
  • Tracking daily, weekly & monthly KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement or more efficient spending.
  • Reporting KPIs to management on a regular basis via various dashboards.
  • Producing engaging, clear and concise copy for campaigns
  • Ensuring campaigns are aligned across multiple channels, avoiding wasted spend or crossover.
  • Reducing risk of click fraud and irrelevant spend.
  • Staying up-to-date with PPC/SEM trends and techniques, and applying them where relevant.

Experience Required:

  • Several years' experience as a PPC Manager or Digital Marketing role focused on SEM.
  • Google Ads certification preferred.
  • Experience with multiple platforms, e.g. AdWords, Facebook Ads, TikTok Bing.
  • You’ll need strong analytical and numeracy skills, and be confident translating large amounts of data into comprehensible or visual reports.
  • Expertise using and manipulating paid search dashboards to optimise spend.
  • Confidence using Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and experience presenting reports and optimisations. 
  • Understanding of broad-stroke digital marketing concepts and SEO.
