Senior Insight Analyst

A unique opportunity to join this current market leader in the fitness industry, whom with established private funding are growing at an exponential rate. Growth has come through acquisition as well as organic growth of their customer base.

 

Within this innovative, start-up environment, they are growing their data capability through hiring data engineers, developers and this role, an Insight Analyst. You will report directly into the Head of Analytics, who has an impressive background across customer and CRM analytics, having worked within the gaming and retail industries previously, and will work alongside another Analyst who has been with the company for a year, operating at a slightly lower level than this role.

 

This is an incredible greenfield opportunity for an adaptable, ambitious and broadly skilled Insight Analyst to work on delivering a variety of projects across reporting, deep dive customer insight analytics including LTV analysis, churn prediction and building segmentations. Because the data environment is still fairly early days (1st party only) the remainder of this year will be focused on getting the data warehouse to a useable state, so that other data sources can then be used to compliment and add context next year; they have plans to add 7 or 8 new data sources such as social media data, external customer data, digital data etc.

 

Technically they operate an R & Python environment and have plans to develop data science projects – so lots of learning opportunities are available over the next year or so.

Position:                             Senior Insight Analyst  

Location:                            Central London

Salary:                                £50k - £65k plus excellent benefits & 25% bonus

 

Experience and Skills required

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject
  • Strong experience of providing deep dive, exploratory analysis and insights around customer activity in order to answer broad business questions, and inform more targeted customer marketing
  • Experience of working within a data intensive organization; preferably retail, travel, e-commerce or other sectors with high volumes of customer and transactional data
  • Ideally experience with building predictive models, although this is not essential
  • Technically you must have excellent coding skills using SQL for data manipulation and ideally R (or Python) for analysis
  • Good understanding of cutting-edge reporting technology and dashboarding techniques such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlikview
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
